Logie Awards 2012 nominations in full

The nominations for this year's Logie Awards have been announced.

Stars up for the prestigious Gold Logie gong at the annual Aussie TV awards due to be held on April 15 include breakfast television host Karl Stefanovic, Home and Away's Esther Anderson, comedian Adam Hills, Offspring actress Asher Keddie, The Project presenter Carrie Bickmore and radio funnyman Hamish Blake.

The editor of TV Week magazine, which sponsors the event, said: "We have such a strong list of contenders after fans voted in record numbers this year. The race to see who will win the TV Week Gold Logie is going to be the toughest one yet!"

Celebrities in the running for the Silver Logie 'Best Actress' prize are Keddie and Anderson again, plus Underbelly's Danielle Cormack and Packed to the Rafters on-screen mother and daughter Rebecca Gibney and Jessica Marais.

Male Silver Logie nominees include Daniel MacPherson from Wild Boys, Packed to the Rafters actors Erik Thomson and Hugh Sheridan, Home and Away star Ray Meagher and Eddie Perfect from Offspring.
