Sarah Murdoch is believed to have been offered a new TV role as the host of So You Think You Can Dance in Australia.

The Australian model and presenter, who is married to Channel Ten chairman Lachlan Murdoch, quit her role as the host of Australia's Next Top Model late last year and is now thought to be making a return to commercial television.

Murdoch told The Daily Telegraph that she is in talks for a new role during "the second half of the year", sparking rumors that she will host the new-look version of the dance show.

So You Think You Can Dance was originally fronted by singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte. The show was put on hold in 2009.

Murdoch was reportedly offered a co-host's position on Ten's new morning show Breakfast, but turned it down.

She said: "I've made no secret that I loved [temporarily presenting] The Today Show [in 2007]. I loved doing it but the hours were too hard with young kids.

"I am talking to different networks. It's really nice to sit back and look at the options. I'm not rushing into anything, because it's been nice having a bit of a life back and having time to find something that I can work on that's not too demanding."
