The programme, which is based on the original Dutch format The Voice of Holland, has enjoyed ratings success in numerous countries including the US and the UK.
It premiered in Australia to over two million viewers earlier this month and coaches Seal, Delta Goodrem, Keith Urban and Good Charlotte's Joel Madden are believed to be behind a second series.
A production insider told the Australian Daily Telegraph that informal talks have already begun with the four coaches.
Nine Network insiders have also suggested that production on a second series could begin this summer as soon as the first series finale has been broadcast, with the second season to air next year.
It is also believed that the coaches already have options for a second series written into their contracts.
A spokesperson for Nine declined to comment on the reports.
