The 19-year-old from Gold Coast triumphed over runner-up Darren Percival and fellow finalists Rachael Leahcar and Sarah de Bono in Monday evening's (June 18) grand final.
Eden paid tribute to her coach Seal following her victory, telling the Sydney Morning Herald: "He's a lovely man that I love dearly. He's helped me through thick and thin.
"Being musicians, you can sit and talk straight away. You get to learn about personal history and personal stories. You talk about things. And our personalities clicked. Seal said to me numerous things, but one of the things he did say was that there was nothing else and that if you stand strong, that is all there is."
Eden, who spent her teenage years moving around a number of refuges, also spoke of the importance of family to her.
"I remember grabbing mum and telling everyone, 'This is my mum'," she said when asked to recall the immediate moments after her victory was announced. "To have [them] there - my mum, my sister and two aunties - I wouldn't have had it any other way."
Eden's prize package includes $100,000 (£64,540) winnings and a record deal with Universal Music.
