
The actor was last seen in the cosmopolitan romantic comedy Shor in the City.
He told DNA India: "The only reason I agreed to do this film was producer Vikram Bhatt. He's one person who's stood by me always and I couldn't have said no to him.
"Even though the film is extremely bold, content-wise, I know Vivek to be a very aesthetic film-maker and was confident that the final [cut] wouldn't be titillating."
Dwivedi also praised Shor in the City producer Ekta Kapoor for working with Bollywood newcomers.
The star said this week that he finds the real-life gangster he will be playing soon in an untitled project "fascinating".
Last year, Dwivedi claimed that Amitabh Bachchan had inspired him to become an actor.
