'Titanic' star: 'I was obsessed with Leonardo DiCaprio movie'

By
Titanic actress Perdita Weeks has revealed that she is "obsessed" by the James Cameron movie about the 1912 tragedy.

Weeks, who plays Lady Georgiana Grex in Julian Fellowes's ITV1 miniseries about the famous ship, said that she had a crush on the big screen version's leading man Leonardo DiCaprio when it released in cinemas in 1997.

"I absolutely loved the film, in fact I was obsessed with it, I watched it four times," she told The Mirror.

"[Leonardo] was such a heart-throb. I would have enjoyed playing opposite him. And if we'd have had him walking around on set it would have been fantastic."

The 26-year-old Welsh actress is part of a 90-person cast which also includes Linus Roache, Celia Imrie, Toby Jones, Geraldine Somerville, Sophie Winkleman and Timothy West.

Fellowes's Titanic will air in April on ITV1 and on ABC in the US.
