The NBC programme is based on the original Dutch format The Voice Of Holland. The US show sees Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton mentoring hopefuls they chose during blind auditions - which saw the panel facing away from the aspiring artists during their auditions.
The Sun claims that Minogue, who quit ITV's The X Factor over the weekend, could feature on the panel for a British version.
"Bosses really want Dannii, as she was hugely popular on the X Factor and really knows her stuff," an insider told the paper. "She mentored Matt Cardle to the crown last year and is really good with contestants. She would be great on The Voice."
However, a source told the paper that bosses at the broadcaster know how important it is to create the right line-up.
"It is a really big hit in the US and we are looking to do our own version for next year," they said. "But the casting of judges is really important. It is all about getting the right people involved in order to make it work."
It was previously claimed that Minogue is in discussions about new television opportunities following her decision to leave Simon Cowell's competition.
