The race of militaristic aliens made their last major appearance in the sci-fi drama's 2010 finale.
A post on the the show's official website has confirmed that several different versions of the creatures will appear, teasing: "The Daleks are being wheeled before the cameras once again. But which design? The answer is all of them!"
The Daleks were last redesigned for 2010's 'Victory of the Daleks', with their new colourful appearance provoking a mixed reaction from fans. A lone Dalek later appeared in the show's sixth series finale, 'The Wedding of River Song'.
It was previously confirmed that the Weeping Angels will return to Doctor Who in 2012, as part of a storyline that will write out companions Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill).
Jenna-Louise Coleman was unveiled as the new Who companion earlier this month and will make her debut on the show in this year's Christmas special.
Doctor Who will return to BBC One in the autumn.
