Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes' is best known for her role as Joey Potter on the teen US drama Dawson's Creek from 1998-2003. Her first movie was in The Ice Storm directed by Ang Lee. Her subsequent movie roles include Batman Begins (2005) and the thriller Abandon (2002).

She filed for divorce from actor Tom Cruise in June 2012. Speculation arose that his Cruise's commitment to the religion Scientology figured in Holme's decision to file for divorce. They have one daughter together called Suri. Their divorce was settled on July 9 with Cruise and Holmes releasing a joint statement asking for privacy at this time.
