Mel B

Mel B (also known as Melanie Brown) is best known for making up one fifth of '90s girl group the Spice Girls. In the group she was famously known as 'Scary Spice'.

Brown enjoyed a moderately successful solo career after the breakup of the group in the early 2000s. She achieved a UK number one single with 'I Want You Back' in 1998.

In recent years Mel B has relocated to the US before making a professional move to Australia. Here, she has become best known for her judging role on the Australian version of The X Factor. She is also a co-host of Dancing with the Stars in Australia.

In 2007 Brown took part in a reunion tour with her former Spice Girl band mates before briefly reuniting once more in 2012 at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics.
