Stephen Merchant

Known for his collaborations with Ricky Gervais, he is the co-creator of successful sitcoms The Office, Extras and Life's Too Short. They first met when Gervais picked up his CV from the top of a pile when he needed a presenter and producer for his XFM show.

He now appears in the HBO animated adaptation of the The Ricky Gervais Show podcasts along with Gervais and Karl Pilkington. Merchant also produces and stars in Pilkington's travel show An Idiot Abroad.
