The ongoing series, which casts the real-life rock band as superheroes, will be written in alternating arcs by Chris Ryall and Tom Waltz, with Jamal Igle and Casey Maloney sharing art duties.
Kiss has a rich history in comic books, featuring in a popular Marvel Comics series in the 1970s, as well as a more recent crossover with the Archie Comics universe.
"I wanted to do Kiss comics the way I remembered them as a kid. I wanted to do them like the old Marvel comics that Stan Lee worked on with John Buscema and then John Romita, Jr. They were just these teenage, young guys who got these talismans that powered them up," Ryall told CBR.
"It was like a superhero comic concept, which I always dug. That's my background as a reader."
Kiss debuts in June, kicking off with an arc titled 'Dressed to Kill'.
