Oni Press has announced print editions of Bad Machinery.

John Allison's webcomic will be collected in a series of graphic novels.

Set in a fictional English town, Bad Machinery follows the adventures of two rival groups of young supernatural investigators.

The series launched in 2009 and has so far passed through five story arcs.

"We're at a point where the term 'webcomics' is becoming redundant," said Oni editor-in-chief James Lucas Jones.

"Comics is about storytelling, not the delivery system. Being a publisher in the 21st century is reliant on recognising talent wherever you find it. John Allison is one talented guy, and we're proud to have Bad Machinery joining the Oni Press library."

Allison was an early pioneer of webcomics, launching Bobbins in 1998 followed by Scary Go Round in 2002.

The first Bad Machinery arc - 'The Case of the Team Spirit' - will be collected in March 2013.
