A dog has been disqualified from canine show Crufts for stopping halfway through an agility run to take a toilet break.

Libby, a 5-year-old cross-breed, had nearly completed the course with a decent time and no mistakes when she abruptly sat down and did her business in front of the judges.

The incident was greeted with applause and laughter from the crowd as an assistant ran to the owner's aid with tissue and a plastic bag.

A commentator remarked: "A dog's got to do what a dog's got to do. That's not very nice, is it?

"What a shame. Disqualified - and it was a good run too."

Footage of Libby's toilet break has drawn more than 700,000 views on YouTube since it was uploaded last Friday (March 9).
