The new video does not feature gameplay footage but does tease various character classes and player abilities.
The game will be unveiled through a unique tournament at gamescom. Starting tomorrow, the 16 best DOTA teams will compete for a $1 million prize.
DOTA 2 is a sequel to the popular Warcraft 3 mod Defence of the Ancients. The game is developed by Valve, while the original Defence of the Ancients developers have created their own free-to-play game League of Legends.
DOTA 2 will release later this year for both PC and Mac.
