Lost Planet 3 confirmed in leaked video, 'Turning Point' devs on board

By
Lost Planet 3 has been confirmed by a leaked trailer from Capcom's Captivate event.

The CGI announcement video reveals a 2013 release for the sequel, which is being developed by Spark Unlimited.

The video features a battle between a soldier and two beasts, followed by a fight between a giant mech and an even bigger monster.

Lost Planet 2 launched in 2010. The previous two releases were both developed in-house by Capcom.

New developers Spark Unlimited have worked on Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, Legendary: The Box and Call of Duty: Finest Hour for the Xbox, PS2 and Gamecube.

The use of the Californian development team is in line with Capcom's strategy of expanding its business overseas.
