The date on the poster is May 2, while the font used and the links to the original narrative point towards a Black Ops announcement.
Earlier this year, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 briefly appeared on Amazon's French site. Activision claims that the next release will contain "meaningful innovations".
A leaked report detailing new multiplayer modes, perk systems and the game's release date were discovered last month. The title is said to launch on November 6.
The game's concluding act was recently voted the greatest game ending of all time by Guinness World Records readers.
