'Resistance: Burning Skies' features trailer - watch

By
Resistance: Burning Skies has received a new trailer from Sony.

The video highlights how the game will take advantage of the PlayStation Vita's hardware features.

The game will use the Vita's two analogue sticks to provide an authentic first-person shooter experience.

In addition, it will make use of both the touch screen and rear touch panel for even more precise control. For example, the trailer shows how enemies can be targeted with certain weapons and melee attacks by tapping on them.

The game will also use the Vita's Wi-Fi capabilities to support a robust online multiplayer mode for up to eight people.

Resistance: Burning Skies will take place prior to the events of Resistance 2 and stars new protagonist Tom Riley, a New Jersey firefighter caught in the Chimera invasion.

The game is being developed by Nihilistic Software. Resistance creators Insomniac Games has revealed that it won't develop future games in the series.

Resistance: Burning Skies will release on PS Vita on May 29 in North America and on May 30 in Europe.
