Announced for PSN and XBLA last year, Final Showdown is the revised edition of the fighting title, which is currently available in Japanese arcades.

The game adds enhanced fighting mechanics and character balancing, as well as a simplified control scheme for new players.

There will be 19 fighters available, including new additions Taka-Araski from Virtua Fighter 3 and all-new combatant Jean Kujo.

Elsewhere, there will be an all-new single player mode and the promise of a robust, lag-free online battle system.

Virtua Fighter 5 first launched in Japanese arcades in 2006 and was followed by ports to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 the following year.
