THQ revealed as part of its annual earnings report that South Park: The Game was pushed back and is now scheduled for the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2012/13.
The publisher's fourth quarter runs from January 1 to March 31, leaving a three-month window for the game's release in early 2013.
In brighter news, THQ's new 2013 listing for the game includes a previously unmentioned PC version in addition to release on consoles.
Originally scheduled for late 2012, South Park: The Game sees a new kid arrive in South Park who takes part in a live-action role playing game with the other kids that eventually becomes an adventure of its own.
It is developed by Fallout: New Vegas studio Obsidian Entertainment and written by show creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
Earlier this year, Obsidian Entertainment was struck by layoffs that included members of the South Park team and caused the studio to cancel an unannounced title.
South Park: The Game will be available in early 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
