Shot entirely using in-game footage, the latest video ends with the announcement of a February 12, 2013 launch date.
The game was originally due to release this autumn, although no definitive date was ever announced.
"We knew this game would be incredible from the moment Gearbox began developing Aliens: Colonial Marines," explained Sega's Gary Knight.
"Now that the title is in its final stretch of development, we can confidently release the exact date that gamers will finally get to experience this blockbuster thrill-ride," he added.
Set 11 months after the events of the second movie, the game sees marines crash-land on LV-426 and attempt to survive against the xenomorph population.
Aliens: Colonial Marines features a four-player co-operative campaign and enemies brand new to the Alien canon.
Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford promised a multiplayer experience to match the campaign, saying that it has received "a huge amount of attention".
Publisher Sega, meanwhile, told Digital Spy that it was great to work with Fox on the Aliens sequel.
Aliens: Colonial Marines will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. A Wii U version is expected to be announced at a later date.
