Reasons for the second delay were not disclosed, though it is thought that developer Saber Interactive requires more time to fine-tune the game, Eurogamer understands.
Inversion allows players to manipulate gravity to expose enemies out of cover or use as a projectile, as well as move cover points themselves.
Saber's last project was Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition on Xbox 360.
The PC edition of Inversion currently carries a more vague "TBC" release date.
