The latest video showcases a few of the available power-ups, some of which alter Mario's size, while others uncover extra coins.
It was recently revealed that New Super Mario Bros 2 will feature two-player co-operative play.
The entire single-player campaign will support two players, with one person controlling Mario and the second as Luigi.
When playing co-operatively, the camera will follow whichever player is in the lead, with the second one turning into a bubble if they do not keep up.
Players who purchase the game digitally will receive double Club Nintendo Points, while pre-ordering the title from GAME or Gamestation will net users an exclusive gold coin case.
New Super Mario Bros 2 will launch in PAL territories on August 17, two days before its North American release.
