'Game of Thrones' game Behind the Wall developer diary - watch

By
The Game of Thrones game has received a new trailer from Atlus and Cyanide Studio.

The developer diary video delves into the game's creation and how creator George R R Martin was involved in constructing its story and characters.

Development of the Game of Thrones game began seven years ago, before production started on the HBO series.

Cyanide Studio set out to create new characters for the game's protagonists, allowing players the freedom to make choices that influence the story rather than follow the plots of well known characters.

Players will control two characters in Game of Thrones. Mors is a sworn brother of the Night's Watch who can take control of his faithful dog for unique sneak attacks against enemies. Alester is a more nimble character, and as a Red Priest can command fire in his attacks.

The role-playing game promises to be an over 30-hour long adventure taking players across Westeros to locations from the series including King's Landing, the Wall in the North and newly introduced locations like the waterside town of Riverspring.

Game of Thrones will be available on May 15 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in North America, and the first week in June across Europe.
