The upcoming wrestling game will feature a roster of 77 Superstars, context sensitive 'OMG' moments and an 'Attitude Era' single-player story mode.
The official announcement is accompanied by a trailer featuring this year's cover star CM Punk.
The game's new 'Attitude Era' career mode allows players to re-live eight storylines using characters such as 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Mankind and The Undertaker.
It will feature video packages and cutscenes from the period, and tell the story of the 'Monday Night Wars' with WCW, reports IGN.
WWE 13 will also contain context-sensitive 'OMG' moments, which enable certain wrestlers to perform spectacular moves such as ramming opponents through barricades, catching finishers mid-air and even breaking the ring.
The game's roster, meanwhile, features 38 Superstars, 7 Divas and 32 'Attitude Era' Legends.
WWE 13 is scheduled to launch for Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii on October 30 in North America, with a European release likely to take place on November 2.
