Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis 'The Campaign' interview - video

Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis face off as political rivals in Jay Roach's new comedy The Campaign.

Digital Spy recently sat down for a surreal and funny four minutes with the comedy duo to discuss everything from punching The Artist's loveable pooch Uggie (who cameos in The Campaign) to Galifianakis's traumatic home-schooled childhood.


Asked about his character Cam Brady's tussle with a baby and Uggie, Ferrell quipped: "Please don't take this out of context. I felt guiltier punching Uggie because I'm telling you, that baby deserved it.

"Children can only work a certain amount of hours during the day. Big people, we have to work all day long, 16 to 18 hours. A child gets to go home, that's just not fair."

Galifianakis also discussed whether or not he would "take Ferrell Between Two Ferns" in the near future, saying: "[If that question] is sexual, if it is what I think it is, then tonight at 8.30. After we drop the E that we like to drop every night."

Ferrell joked: "Then it's on. Much against my will, it's on. Pun intended."

The Campaign opens in UK cinemas on September 28.
