The 'Back to Black' star was found dead at her Camden home last month. Plans for a biopic have already been discussed with the Winehouse family, The Sun claims.
"The feeling is there wouldn't be an actress under 30 who wouldn't want to play her," an insider said. "The first job is to get financial backing from co-production companies in the States. Some are showing interest because it's a sure-fire money-spinner."
The source added: "They know anything Amy-related is going to be a huge success."
'You and I' star Lady GaGa has been linked to the role, after allegedly claiming that playing the 27-year-old would be the "ideal role to launch her film career".
The MTV Video Music Awards will pay tribute to Winehouse at the ceremony, held in Los Angeles' Nokia Theater on August 28.
