Joel Edgerton has said that Kathryn Bigelow's planned movie about the death of Osama Bin Laden should wait for 'history to settle'.

The Warrior actor has been cast in the film as a special operative commanded to kill the leader of Al-Qaeda.

The script by Hurt Locker writer Mark Boal was reportedly re-written following the actual killing of Bin Laden earlier this year.

Asked if he had any concerns about the project, Edgerton told Digital Spy: "Absolutely. It is very sensitive.

"There was more concern about the fact that the project took a great shift. Obviously when Team Six took out Bin Laden, the whole project that was has now been adjusted."

He added: "I think that the major concern is that history needs time to settle. I think that's why a project that was going to be slated to shoot soon has been shunted back a little bit."
