Digital Spy's exclusive video, which features on the political drama's DVD and Blu-ray editions, sees Streep playing a young Thatcher as she struggles to fit into a male-dominated environment.
"We're striving very hard to create an authenticity, a sense of the kind of bear pit and the rock and roll of the House," said director Lloyd.

"When Margaret goes into the House of Commons, there are no women in the House of Commons," Lloyd added.
"We all know there were a small number of female MPs when she entered the chamber, but from Margaret's point of view she feels herself entirely walled by men."
The Iron Lady is available on DVD and Blu-ray from April 30 in the UK.
