Rudd will star as a corporate businessman attempting to shut down a local store run by Poehler's character, before the pair become caught up in a romance, Variety reports.

Poehler and Rudd recently worked together on an episode of NBC's Parks and Recreation, and teamed up for Wain's previous comedy offering Wet Hot American Summer.

Wain and Rudd also collaborated on Wanderlust earlier this year, a comedy featuring Jennifer Aniston.

They Came Together is yet to be given a release date.
