Neil Marshall has signed on to direct the upcoming horror The Last Voyage of Demeter.

30 Days of Night director David Slade had originally been attached to the project, but has reportedly dropped out due to conflicts with other projects.

Empire reports that the film is inspired by Bram Stoker's Dracula, and tells the story of the doomed sailors on the ship that transports Dracula from Transylvania to England.

Ben Kingsley and Noomi Rapace were attached to the project at one point, but no stars have formally signed on yet.

Neil Marshall is best known for his work on the 2010 action adventure film Centurion, as well as directing an upcoming episode of HBO's Game of Thrones.

Marshall will be also filming the 3D action movie Burst this summer.

There is no word yet on when The Last Voyage of Demeter is due to begin shooting.
