The X-Men star has joined the cast of the adaptation of BOOM! Studios' comic, reports Variety.
2 Guns will star Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington as a DEA agent and a naval investigator who are chasing each other for mob-related activities before they discover that they have actually been stealing from the CIA.
Bill Paxton will play a high-ranking CIA operative while Edward James Olmos is in talks for the role of the drug lord antagonist.
Marsden will play a naval commander who gets drawn into the murky underworld.
The actor starred in the most recent season of 30 Rock alongside Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin.
2 Guns is based on the graphic novel by Steven Grant and Mat Santolouco, with Blake Masters writing the script and Contraband's Baltasar Kormakur attached to direct.
