Casting sheets that surfaced online refer to the sequel as Beginning of the End: The Last Exorcism 2, though few specific details of the project have been revealed.
The follow-up, directed by Ed Gass-Donnelly, is expected to be backed by a significantly bigger budget after the first film raked in $62.5 million (£38m) at the global box office on shoestring funding.
The Last Exorcism 2 is expected to be released later this year.
