'Annie' remake to shoot with Willow Smith next spring

Emma Thompson has revealed that the Annie remake starring Will Smith's daughter Willow will shoot early next year.

The Nanny McPhee star will soon meet with Jay-Z to discuss the project.



Thompson has worked on the screenplay for the adaptation, while Jay-Z is to write new music for the film's soundtrack.

"I've been writing the script for nearly three years - it's exciting," the actress told The Sun.

"Jay-Z has already started working on the music. We'll be having dinner. We will start shooting in the spring in New York."

Thompson was recently reported to be in talks to star in a movie about the making of Mary Poppins, alongside Tom Hanks.
