In the lawsuit, Gadh and Sender claimed that in 2011 they submitted a screenplay titled Belv to CAA - one of Hollywood's top talent agencies which also represents Jonze.

Gadh and Sener apparently were told by the agency that they did not accept unsolicited screenplays.

After Her debuted in cinemas, the duo saw alleged similarities between their Belv screenplay and Jonze's film.

Her tells the story of a heartbroken man (Joaquin Phoenix) and his computer (voiced by Scarlett Johansson).

Meanwhile, Belv revolves around a cellphone that comes to life and becomes a wingman for the main character.

Her is nominated for five Oscars including Best Picture and Best Writing (Original Screenplay). Rooney Mara, Olivia Wilde and Amy Adams also star in the movie.
