Justin Bieber receives MTV EMAs charity award

Justin Bieber has been named the first recipient of the MTV Voices award, to honour positive people and projects who make a substantial contribution to charity.

The 'Mistletoe' singer has been honoured at a special ceremony ahead of tonight's MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Bieber was awarded for his plans to launch the Believe Charity Drive, a project aiming to raise millions of dollars for various charities worldwide.



He has also been heavily involved in both the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Pencils with Promise initiative since the start of his career.

The MTV Voices initiative will recognise a different organisation every year, with this year's recipient being a local youth organisation called the Northern Ireland Youth Forum.
