Robbie Williams: 'New tunes make for excellent knuckle dusters'

Robbie Williams has revealed that his new solo material will make for "excellent knuckle dusters".

The singer explained that he is currently writing the record in the US ahead of its expected release in the autumn and insisted that his new songs will fight their way to the top of the chart.

Writing on his official blog, Williams said: "I'm tucked away at the top of a mountain in a very pleasant wooden studio near Malibu."

He added: "I'm ready for a fight and I think this batch of tunes will make for excellent knuckle dusters."

Williams has previously claimed that his new album will fuel his ambition of "world domination" and that it sounds like his 2002 record Escapology.
