First Aid Kit, Frittenbude, Jamie N Commons, Kraftklub, Morning Parade and Slagmalsklubben are also set to take the stage at Berlin Festival.
Sigur Rós is set to perform new tracks from their upcoming eighth album, while Franz Ferdinand will make an exclusive appearance at the festival to perform new songs from their own fourth album.
The Berlin Film Festival will be held on September 7 to 8.
Last year, Friendly Fires were forced to cancel shows after frontman Ed Macfarlane contracted a viral throat infection.
