The band will release 'Princess of China' as the fourth single to be lifted from their chart-topping album Mylo Xyloto.
Rihanna - who features on the track - is currently filming an accompanying music video with the Chris Martin-fronted group.
The star posted a series of snaps on Twitter of her outfit for the visual, which sees her dressed up as a "gangsta goth geisha".
One image sees Rihanna in a black kimono-styled dress with large earrings and extraordinarily long nails, while another has the singer having cigarette smoke drift out of her mouth.
Coldplay and Rihanna briefly performed 'Princess of China' live for the first time at the Grammy Awards back in February.
Martin previously claimed that the band's collaboration was the best part of their fifth album Mylo Xyloto.
