Lady GaGa Seoul concert receives over-18s certification

By
Lady GaGa's upcoming concert in Seoul has been certified as for over-18s only by South Korea's Media Rating Board.

The musician's costumes, perceived "sexualised performances", and some of the songs themselves were cited by the board as reasons for the decision.

Sponsors have said that IDs will be checked on the door and the policy will be enforced strictly, according to BBC News.

The decision has been made amid Christian groups protesting about the concert in South Korea. They have described it as "the work of Satan" and have claimed that it could taint the country's youth.

Protesters have expressed particular concern over what they perceive to be GaGa's "promotion of homosexuality" and condemnation of Christian groups.

It is only the second time that the over-18 certification has been placed on a pop performance in South Korea. The decision has apparently come as "something of a shock" in the country.

Lady GaGa will perform the first night of her 'Born This Way Ball' world tour tonight (April 27) in Seoul, South Korea, and was recently photographed helping to construct the set.
