The My Bloody Valentine bassist has joined the group after Mani returned to The Stone Roses for their own outdoor summer shows.
Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie told NME: "It's a big thing for Mani, because he really doesn't want it to look like he's p*ssed off from the Scream to join the Roses, because he's not at all. It's a really cool thing."
He added that Mani remains "best friends" with the band.
Mani originally joined Primal Scream for their 1997 album Vanishing Point. Previous bassists have included Robert 'Throb' Young - who swiftly moved to guitar - and Henry Olsen.
Googe joined My Bloody Valentine in 1985 and quit during their hiatus in 1995. She formed Snowpony with Katharine Gifford the following year but rejoined My Bloody Valentine for their reunion shows in 2008 and 2009.
My Bloody Valentine's singer and guitarist Kevin Shields played guitar with Primal Scream between 1999 and 2006 and featured on their XTRMNTR and Evil Heat albums.
He also remastered the band's Screamadelica album for last year's 20th anniversary reissue.
Primal Scream play a trio of dates in Scotland this June before slots at a number of festivals
The band are currently working on their as-yet untitled tenth studio album.
