A preview of the clip sees frontman Adam Levine working in a bank, before it is raided by a group of masked armed robbers.
Speaking about his character, Levine explained: "I work in a bank and I have no self-confidence, which is going to be a very difficult role for me to play because I'm cocky as f**k."
'Payphone' features Wiz Khalifa and has so far peaked at number three on the US Hot 100 singles chart. It is expected to be released in the UK within the coming weeks.
Overexposed will be released in the UK on June 25 and the US on June 26.
