The single, called 'La La La', has been produced by Diplo and Ariel Rechshaid, and 'executive produced' by Major Lazer.
'La La La' precedes an album of all-reggae material from the 40-year-old rapper.
Pitchfork reports that the record, called Reincarnated, will be released on Vice Records later this year.
Snoop made headlines recently after being detained at a Norway airport for marijuana possession.
He had previously been arrested in Texas earlier in the year, again for marijuana possession, when a police dog found an ounce of cannabis on his tour bus.
