The Emeli Sandé-penned track will be the second to be lifted from Lewis's third studio album Glassheart, which follows on October 15.
Sony have classed the new release as a "global priority" with the track due to be available in multiple territories simultaneously, reports Music Week.
"['Trouble' is] very deep and has amazing lyrics that are from the heart. It was great collaborating with Emeli because she really gets where I come from," Lewis told Digital Spy earlier this year.
Glassheart serves as the follow-up to 2009's Echo. The new collection will feature 2011 single 'Collide' and Fraser T Smith co-write 'Come Alive'.
