Beyoncé unveils 'I Was Here' video for World Humanitarian Day - watch
The singer has joined forces with the United Nations and aid organisations to celebrate humanitarian work and encourage people worldwide to get involved.
Beyoncé recorded the video in front of a live audience in the UN's General Assembly Hall earlier this month, with the aim of reaching one billion people globally with her message.
"We all see the headlines and we think, 'What can I really do to help?'" she said of the campaign.
"World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference. This is our time to leave our mark on the world and show that we were here and we care."
Images of aid workers helping those in need were projected on to the stage as she performed.
It was recently reported that Beyoncé is planning to direct, produce and star in a new documentary about her life.
