Well, the girls debuted a couple of new tracks over the weekend and they certainly don't disappoint. First up there's the RedOne-produced 'About A Girl', which has already been confirmed as the next single after 'Get Sexy'. It's got loads of clubby synths, a chorus that clicks pretty much as soon as you hear it, and Amelle singing about "sugar like apple pie" in her usual gravelly style. Then there's 'Thank You For The Heartbreak', a snappy electropop number that could have slotted quite nicely onto the Change album. There's a definite 80s feel to it, but it still sounds distinctively Sugababes.
Both tracks suggest the girls extracted maximum benefit from their recording sessions in LA earlier this year. Without straying too far from their comfort zone, Sugababes have managed to come back with material that is both fresh-sounding and - more importantly given the Catfights damp squib - packed with the attitude that always made the group stand out.
