According to ET Online, local media outlets have claimed that the radio host was taken from his hotel on the island to hospital by paramedics.
A statement on his official website said: "Rush was admitted to a Honolulu hospital today and is resting comfortably after suffering chest pains.
"Rush appreciates your prayers and well wishes."
The 58-year-old's radio show is broadcast on over 600 stations across the US.
