The Australian singer and X Factor judge, who welcomed daughter Harper with long-term partner McGlinchey last year, was photographed arriving at St Kilda restaurant the Stokehouse wearing a dress designed by J'Aton.
Bassingthwaighte told the Herald Sun: "I am feeling kind of nervous, but in a really joyous way... [I] am very emotional."
J'Aton designer Anthony Pittorino said that the gown took two weeks to create, adding: "It has been a labour of love. There is a lot of embroidery. It is a very romantic gown, but still modern and quite sexy at the same time."
There were 100 guests at the wedding, including Bassingthwaighte's former Neighbours co-stars Alan Fletcher and Stefan Dennis.
Fletcher joked: "There's only one more wedding that was as exciting as this," to which his wife - former Channel Ten newsreader Jennifer Hansen - added: "Isn't he sweet? It's very exciting, and they've become very dear friends of ours. I know how much they're both looking forward to it, so we just can't wait for them to say their vows."
McGlinchey and Bassingthwaighte met in 2006 when they both joined band Rogue Traders and he proposed to her in July last year.
