"It has to be the most expensive baby monitor in history," a source said.

The couple are said to be huge fans of Hirst's work and have amassed a large collection of his pieces of art over the years.

Victoria Beckham reportedly spent £250,000 on a pair of high heels designed by Hirst, while he also painted her Manolo Blahnik ankle boots after she posted them to him.

He enclosed a note on the pair of shoes saying: "Posh boots for a Posh bird."

Their collection is said to include at least three paintings, along with a silver bull's heart that David Beckham gave to his wife.

Art critic David Lee said of the collection: "It's worth millions. The value also goes up because it has hung in the house of celebrities."

The Beckhams are rumoured to be planning to sell their UK property, dubbed 'Beckingham Palace'.
