The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star made headlines when she appeared on an episode of Khloe & Lamar, telling her younger sister of her plans to run for office "in five years".
"I have to buy a house there [because] you have to have residency," Kim says in the video.
"[Friend Noelle Keshishian] and I are looking into all the requirements and she's going to help me with my campaign, because it's like Armenian town. I need to wait, like, five years."
Kim's rep has since spoken out on the story, telling US Weekly: "Kim has always looked for opportunities to grow and also do what she can to help and support the Armenian community.
"She's learning more about ways in which she can help to do her part to make a difference in the community."
It was announced earlier this month that Keeping Up with the Kardashians will return to E! with new episodes in May.
